Additionally, it is a signatory to various international treaties such as the Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC) and Convention on Biological Diversity (CBD). In addition to its regional ties, Marshall Islands also maintains close economic and political ties with other Pacific nations such as Fiji, Australia, New Zealand and Japan. The two countries have signed several bilateral agreements related to trade and investment. Additionally, these countries provide assistance to Marshall Islands through military cooperation and humanitarian aid.
